FAQs
What is Mystery Shopping?
Mystery shopping is the process where qualified independent contractors are pre-recruited to covertly evaluate the various service and operational elements of a brand across its customer experience journey. While posing as a regular customer, the mystery shopper visits an establishment to observe and measure the service and operational quality in its overall environment.
How can I become a mystery evaluator?
You must be 18 years of age or older and reside in Singapore. As an Evaluator, you will work with us as an Independent Contractor, and not an employee.
Do I have to pay to register?
No, registration as a Nota Evaluator is free.
How do I apply for assignments?
Upon registering, you can log in to our online portal to complete basic mystery shopping training and certification. Post which, you may check the Job Board for available assignments. Kindly read and understand the assignment details and requirements prior to applying to mitigate any risk of incompleteness. We recommend that our Evaluators apply only for assignments that they are comfortable with acting out the persona for.
How long does a mystery shop or audit take?
The time taken to complete a mystery shop or audit varies basis the type and complexity of assignment. It could be a brief 10 minutes for a mystery call to a bank, or up to a full 24-hour day for an overnight hospitality audit at a hotel.
How much can I earn per assignment?
The Evaluator fee is closely proportionate to the amount of time necessary to complete the assignment, and its complexity. For instance, you are likely to earn more from an assignment that requires you to pretend to be a fraudulent customer at a bank, compared to an assignment which involves you as a regular customer at a fashion retail store.
All payments for assignments completed are on a per evaluation or audit basis. In some cases where prior specified, client-reimbursed purchases are included.
